We believe that to be the best you can at what you do you must narrow your scope. We are dedicated to the care of your trees. All of our services include full site clean-up. We will leave your property as clean, or cleaner than when we arrived.

Tree and Shrub Pruning– Properly cared for trees and shrubs can add significant value to your property. We prune according to industry standards and our staff is thoroughly trained in the proper methods of pruning. Whether you have a ninety foot poplar or a yard full of fruit trees we can help you keep them healthy for years to come.

Ornamental Shaping – We can help you add a formal look to your yard. Shrubs and small trees can be contained or shaped to keep them smaller or keep fruit on the tree at a reachable height.

Tree Removal – Whether or not a tree should be taken out is a tough decision and should be viewed as a last resort. We can help to inform you of all the circumstances before making this decision. Tree removal can be dangerous. We take precautions that are necessary to guard against property damage and injury. Once a tree is removed, the trunk wood can be left behind for firewood or we can haul it away for a small charge.

Stump Grinding – After a tree is removed stumps will remain. We are able to grind out the stump and surface roots to a depth of 18 “to 22”allowing for re-planting or sodding over the spot where the old tree was. Removing the stump is also very effective in reducing the amount of suckering after the tree is removed because the main storage spot for energy in the tree is located in and around the stump.

Tree Fertilizer – Our Deep root tree fertilization program usually consists of 2 applications per year one in the spring and one in the fall. We use a custom fertilizer blend designed specifically for the Calgary area. The water based solution is injected below the soil surface to the tree’s roots, in a form that reduces the chance of root burn and encourages uniform uptake to the tree. Some candidates for fertilization include:

  • Establishing young trees
  • Trees with poor color due to a nutrient deficiency
  • Trees in poor soil conditions

Mechanical Tree Supports – When we get severe weather or heavy wet snow trees can often crack or break at their weakest points. These spots can sometimes be identified and corrected through pruning but often go unnoticed until failure occurs. Often cracked stems can be saved through a mechanical support system where a bolt is run through the attachment point and a cable is placed higher in the tree to support the stem. Combined with appropriate pruning to reduce load on the affected stem, trees have the best chance of survival.

Consultations/Diagnosis – Have you just moved into a new house? Don’t know where to start with the yard? We can help! Identifying and evaluating the existing trees is the first step in the landscaping process. Determining the health of trees and identifying problems allows you to make good decisions about your landscape plan. If your trees are looking unhealthy or signs of insects or disease are visible let us know we would be happy to assist you in finding a solution.
